State Forces MP Ali Al-Bandawi revealed the last option to resolve the crisis of the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Al-Bandawi said that there is nothing new regarding the agreement to elect the Speaker of Parliament, and we had hoped that the Sunni component would decide its matter during the legislative session recess; but until now, no person has been chosen to fill the position.
He added that all the representatives are looking forward to the necessity of resolving the matter, and the Coordination Framework has pushed towards resolving it. If this matter is delayed, there will be the option of voting on the candidates Salem Al-Issawi and Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani if the Sunni blocs do not decide on choosing a consensus figure.
Al-Bandawi confirmed that the House of Representatives will be absolved of all agreements and will move towards voting for one of the two candidates for the position.
