The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee completed the final version of the birth and death registration law, while noting that the law will facilitate the solution of major problems in the records.

The head of the committee, Majid Shankali, said that the law will be presented on the council’s agenda in today’s session, Tuesday, indicating that it includes the cancellation of the first, second, third and fourth copies of death and birth certificates, so that the notification becomes electronic.

Shankali pointed out that the law will facilitate the resolution of major problems in the records, explaining that in the past, it was necessary to resort to the judiciary in the event of an error in recording the gender, for example, a male becomes a female. However, after the law is passed, it can be corrected by submitting a request to the health authority with the supporting documents and the national card.
