The Parliamentary Integrity Committee revealed, today, Monday (August 5, 2024), the truth about referring some urban projects in the capital, Baghdad, in violation of the terms and specifications.
Committee member Gharib Askar said in an interview with Baghdad Today, "Construction projects in Baghdad are referred to companies according to the conditions and instructions and according to the required specifications," stressing that "no project can be referred that contains any legal violation."
Askar explained that "there are specialized oversight bodies that follow up on all contracts signed with any company, and there is also technical follow-up of the work being implemented on the ground, and no project that contains a legal or technical violation can be passed, in light of the presence of government oversight and follow-up."
