Iraqi forces continue operations to secure areas of Al-Jazeera towards the Syrian border

Shafaq News/ The Iraqi forces continue their preemptive operations in the Al-Jazeera area in Nineveh Governorate towards the Syrian border in order to prevent the infiltration of terrorists from the Syrian side.
An Iraqi army source told Shafaq News Agency, "The 71st and 73rd Infantry Brigades, with the participation of the Intelligence Service, the National Security Service, Tal Afar Police Directorate, and Popular Mobilization Forces units, carried out a military operation on two axes in the deserted areas and villages, valleys, roads, and abandoned structures located within the sector of responsibility (Nineveh Governorate)," indicating that "the wanted persons were arrested within the sector of responsibility."
In turn, the Border Guard Forces Command stated in a statement today that the Iraqi-Syrian border is witnessing great security stability, free of any infiltration attempts or threats targeting it, pointing to the advance of Iraqi army units in the second line of defense, providing great support and backing to the border forces inside the Iraqi depth.
