The General Directorate of Water at the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities confirmed today, Monday, that the Nahrawan Water Project will operate at a capacity of 4,000 m3 per second and will contribute to eliminating water scarcity.
The Director General of the Directorate, Ammar Adel Al-Maliki, said, "The Nahrawan Central Water Project is one of the projects included in the government program adopted by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and followed up by the Minister of Reconstruction. This project operates at a design and production capacity of up to 4,000 cubic meters per hour."
He added, "The project was completely stalled as it was referred since 2012 and witnessed many stops, and the work was withdrawn from the implementing company and referred to one of the ministry's companies in 2021."
