Member of Parliament Alaa Al-Haidari confirmed today, Monday, that Parliament will continue to pass important laws until a new Speaker of Parliament is chosen.

Al-Haidari said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, "The Council will continue to hold its regular sessions, headed by Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, to complete the draft laws proposed by the parliamentary committees."
He added, "The House of Representatives is continuing to vote on important laws until a new Speaker of the House of Representatives is elected."
Al-Haidari pointed out that "the political forces are waiting for the Sunni component to agree on presenting a person to fill the position."
He added that "Al-Mandlawi is continuing to manage the regular sessions until the issue of the seat for the Sunni component for the presidency of parliament is resolved." End / 25 H
