Committee member Abolfazl Zahravand said in statements reported by Iranian media, and followed by Sumaria News, that the trip of Dr. Pezeshkian and his accompanying delegation to Iraq is an important trip because Iraq is located next to our country and we have strategic relations with it, noting that this country has many issues and problems that it would be in our interest to solve, but the continuation of these problems could lead to issues such as insecurity, the presence of terrorist forces and ISIS, as well as social issues and problems for the establishment of our country.

The member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee added that Iraq is one of the largest countries that has unlimited oil reserves, and Iran can play a very active role in managing prices in the market in cooperation with this country, and this country is located in a geopolitical bottleneck and Iran can help solve this bottleneck.

He stated that Iraq is a bridge between Iran, Syria and Lebanon and reaches the Mediterranean Sea, and we must have very close cooperation with Iraq in this field, and a vision must be drawn up for cooperation between the two countries so that the Iraqi side can know its required position according to this vision.

He explained that Iran is a bridge to connect Russia and China with the south and the west, and we must be able to link part of this connection with Iraq and activate Iraq's position so that Iraq becomes a passage in this part, indicating that the president's visit to Iraq can be a step towards removing borders and having effective interaction with this country, because Iraq needs our capabilities and we also need Iraq's capabilities and position.
