MP for the State of Law Coalition, Asaad Al-Bazouni, ruled out deciding on the choice of the Speaker of the House of Representatives in tomorrow’s session, Saturday, noting that the session will be the beginning of intensive meetings in order to put the final touches on choosing the new Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Al-Bazouni told Al-Maalouma, "The Coordination Framework directed to end the file of choosing the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the next session tomorrow, Saturday, will not witness the decision on choosing the Speaker of the House of Representatives, but it will be the beginning of resolving this matter."
He added, "Tomorrow's session will witness major understandings to decide the presidency of Parliament in the upcoming sessions, to be the first step towards choosing the new president of the Council after a long wait."
He explained that "all limits have been exhausted and there is no solution other than heading to the House of Representatives to choose the new president, after reaching dead ends within the Sunni house for a period of nearly a full year, where the matter will be left to the representatives to resolve this issue and choose their new president."
