Parliamentary Culture Committee reviews the obstacles facing the work of the {Cultural Palaces}

The Parliamentary Committee for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Media discussed with the Ministry of Culture the obstacles facing some cultural palaces, and the laws on diversity and preservation of cultural heritage.
The head of the committee, Farouk Hanna Atto, told Al-Sabah that "the committee discussed activating the work of cultural palaces with the Director General of the Department of Cultural Relations in the governorates and identifying the obstacles that some of them suffer from."
The head of the Parliamentary Culture Committee indicated that "the committee, through the discussions, stressed the importance of spreading cultural awareness through seminars, lectures, and cultural projects, in addition to following up on the Prime Minister's directives regarding allocating suitable headquarters and plots of land to build cultural palaces in the centers of governorates, districts and sub-districts."
Atto added that "the meeting discussed drafts of some important laws, including the laws on cultural diversity and preservation of cultural heritage."
