    Economy News - Baghdad
The National Bank of Iraq announced today, Wednesday, that it recently signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, aiming to provide banking services to the syndicate’s members.
The agreement was signed by the head of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, Haider Fouad Al-Sayegh, and the managing director of the National Bank of Iraq, Ayman Abu Dahim, in the presence of a number of officials from both sides, at the syndicate’s headquarters in Al-Mansour, according to what the bank stated in a statement today.
According to the statement, under the agreement, the National Bank of Iraq will provide a range of services and financial products to the union members, including loans on easy terms and savings accounts with exclusive benefits, in addition to providing points of sale in pharmacies and providing remittance services to drug stores, and working on installing an ATM in the union building.
The statement quoted the Managing Director of the National Bank of Iraq, Ayman Abu Dahim, as saying, “We at the bank are pleased to cooperate with the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate to provide our distinguished banking services to its members, and we are committed to providing the best financial products and solutions that meet their needs and support their professional careers.”
For his part, the President of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, Haider Fouad Al-Sayegh, thanked the National Bank of Iraq for this valuable initiative, expressing his hope that this agreement would benefit all pharmacists in Iraq and contribute to facilitating their access to the financial services they need.
The two parties will also cooperate in organizing voluntary workshops for union members to introduce them to the banking services and products available to them, according to the statement.
