BAGHDAD / Obelisk: Information Office of the Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Thursday, for the conclusion of the Iraqi and American sides an agreement on sending a special force "limited number" to provide support to air support to Iraqi forces revealed, stressing that the force will not perform any ground tasks "at all."
A spokesman for the Office Saad al-Sabri, said that "an agreement was recently between the Iraqi government and the US side to send a special force are limited in number in order to provide support for air support and monitor the movements of leaders Daash and targeted," noting that "the number of members of the force is estimated in the dozens."
He added that "force will not perform any tasks on the ground at all, and will focus its activities on the border with Syria," stressing that "the work force will be in full coordination with the Iraqi government and the leadership of the joint operations."
The US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter said Wednesday (January 13 2016) about the arrival of American power "special" to Iraq, as pointed out that such a force is preparing to begin the prosecution of members of al Daash.
