Twilight News / Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil for the gas industry Hamid Younis opened Wednesday 1 pipeline to transport liquid gas from production sites in Khor Al-Zubair to gas complex in the province of Dhi Qar Card 3000-4000 tons / day measured 16 knots project.
Younis said a word to him during the inauguration of the project, said the project is one of the largest pipeline projects liquid gas that have been implemented by the transportation company (the Egyptian Petrojet) according to the measurements and specifications adopted in this area.
Meanwhile, a general manager of the company's pipeline Raad Rafik that the project comes to keep abreast of developments in the national production of LPG and increase interest in the ministry of infrastructure development and implementation of the pipeline projects in line with the orientations of the ministry.
He added that the new pipeline project reaches its capacity of (3000-4000) tons per day and spans a distance of 202 km from production sites in Basra and down to the gas compound in Nasiriyah.
For his part, Qalaltdt as the Oil Ministry, Asim Jihad said the cost of the project amounted to 150 million dollars and for achievement of two years and is one of the important strategic projects in the process of gas transmission fluid from production sites to consumption areas and that this project will cover domestic consumption for the Middle Euphrates region and Baghdad.
It hoped to implement the Ministry of Oil and its future plans within the second phase of the project extends from Nasiriyah to Diwaniyah, also extending the third phase of the project of Diwaniyah - to Baghdad.
He noted that the project will save a lot of money for the state through the shortcut assigned to the liquid gas transportation Balsaaj enabling the Ministry to conduct the maintenance and rehabilitation of the former operations of the pipeline measuring 14 knots
