Said director of projects in the EU embassy in Baghdad Mathieu Modsten, that the EU has 22 projects at a cost of 230 million euros pertaining to education, energy and good governance.
Modsten said at a news conference in Baghdad Union and was attended by the correspondent of the news of our economy, that "Among the projects is Manaml it now with the Human Rights Commission to make them independent and act neutrally and there is a program to support returnees and displaced persons who have not yet returned.
He added, "we are working with the government to develop capacity through small projects and we are working to enable freedom of information and expression," pointing out that "education is one of the main things in our work and we are working with the government to develop the technical and substantive support."
He added, that "in the field of energy working on the establishment of Iraq's energy center to enable the EU and the development of technical matters in Iraq."
He pointed out that "in the field of economy, Iraq has the energy sources in our youth projects with young people and activists and to establish a network for the protection of human rights."
