[ltr][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]BAGHDAD - Iraq Press - 6 AB / August: TheIndependent Electoral Commission announced thatit will open 683 centers to update the voters 'register in preparation for elections scheduled for April 30, 2017 the provincial councils.
He said UNHCR spokesman Miqdad Sharifi, in atelevised statement, that " the voter registration update centers amounting to 683 centers, will openits doors on August 10 this in front of the citizens, and continue to receive them for 21 days , " pointing out that "these centers do not include theprovinces of Kurdistan region or Nineveh, Kirkuk ".
He pointed to "open 32 centers to update the voters' register in the liberated areas in Anbar , as well as opening the UNHCR office in the province."
And Kirkuk Provincial Council elections, Sharifi said, "There is a decision of the Federal Court required the House ofRepresentatives pass a law for the election of Kirkuk and the parliament to do so."
And calls for the integration of elections the House of Representatives and the boards of the next provinces to retrenchment, confirmed a spokesman for the election commission , "we have not received any formal request for this invitation, and we will study any request for this, and we are ready to hold the elections as scheduled on 30 April next year , " stressing that " theintegration of elections you need to balance the private and logistical preparations. "
He noted to Sharifi, said that " the election commission, will launch a media campaign election, next week, about updating thevoters ' register." Q ended
