    Diwaniya (IraqiNews.com) MP, Iqbal al-Ghurabi, of Diwaniya province assured “Some political blocs aim at marginalizing the Sadr Trend through the former arrest campaigns conducted against its supporters.”

    She stated to IraqiNews.com “The Government adopts double dealing concerning the General Amnesty Law,” noting that “The Government releases only the sides that support its partisan interests.”
    “The Special Amnesty law does not involve those who are arrested according to Article 4 of Anti-Terrorism law,” he added.
    “All the Sadrist detainees of Diwaniya, who were fighting occupation forces, were sentenced according to Article 4 for political reasons,” she concluded.
