    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr decided to freeze the performance of the Political Office of the Trend.
    Informed Source at the Political Office told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Wednesday “Sadr decided to freeze the performance of the Trend’s political Office headed by Karar al-Khafaji for three months.”
    He added “We received news about the intention to change all the members of the Office,” noting “A press conference will be held by the Sadr Trend to review the latest updates on Iraq’s political arena.”

    Sadr Trend’s boycotting for Cabinet preparation for forming opposition, says MP

    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -MP Wihda al-Jumaili of the Iraqiya Slate described the withdrawal of the Sadr Trend’s Ministers from the Iraqi Cabinet as a preparation for forming an opposition front.
    Jumaili said “We welcome this decision over boycotting the Council of Ministers as it represents a rejection to the monopolization and marginalization policy adopted by the government.”
    “The boycotting of the Cabinet’s sessions by the Kurds, Iraqiya Slate and the Sadr Trend’s ministers would lead to couple alternatives, the first one is dissolving the parliament and the government and conducting early elections,” she added.
    “For the second alternative, is to form strong opposition front at the parliament which could correct the government’s performance,” Jumaili added expecting an agreement to be reached among IS, ST and the Kurds to form an opposition side.”
