    [ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Suzan al-Sa’ad, member of the parliament Oil & Energy Committee called the new Governors and chairmen of the Provincial Councils to give the electricity sector priority among the other sectors especially after they had their powers expanded.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Sa’ad said “The series of the electric current shut down started since beginning of the current June and we are not optimistic about rehabilitating the situation at the electricity sector especially with closeness of Ramadan which requires operating the electricity capacity at its utmost.”[/ltr]
    [ltr]“The Iraqis are despaired of the possibility of improving the electric current after passage of ten years of the downfall of the former regime where billions of dinars were spent on the electricity sector without touching any real results,” she added.[/ltr]
