    He favored the International Energy Agency director Fatih Birol, Thursday, new investments in oil production fell for the third year in 2017 at a time when the global supply glut continues, fueling volatility in crude markets.


    Birol told an energy conference in Tokyo, said that "Our analyzes show that we are entering a period of greater volatility in oil prices reasons (including) the global oil investment fell for three consecutive years in 2015 and 2016 and probably in 2017."


    He added that "this is the first time in the oil in which investments fall for three consecutive years history," stressing that "this may cause difficulties in the international oil market in a few years."


    It meets the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) next week in a bid to finalize the restrictions on production.
