    Washington working to activate the strategic agreement, Japan is seeking to develop economic relationship with Baghdad

    BAGHDAD
    / obelisk: he held the U.S. and Japanese ambassadors in addition to the
    representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations,
    Thursday, talks with Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq to discuss
    developments in the Iraqi situation and the development of bilateral
    relations.

    A statement issued by the Office of the
    Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq, and got "obelisk", a copy of

    Republic of Iraq Stephen Beecroft."

    The statement added
    that during the meeting "discussed the overall bilateral relations
    between Baghdad and Washington and concentration on the implementation
    of the strategic framework agreement concluded between the governments
    of Iraq and America, in addition to the challenges facing the political
    process and the need for a comprehensive review in light of the
    demonstrations and protests taking place in a number of provinces" .

    The
    new U.S. ambassador, according to the statement "his country's position
    in support of Iraq and expressed the hope that the Iraqis beyond their
    problems crusade strongly in the phase of reconstruction and building a
    strong economy provides for the Iraqi people to ensure a better future."

    Developments
    in the Iraqi situation was the other focus of the meeting between
    al-Mutlaq, Martin Kobler Representative of the Secretary-General of the
    United Nations in Iraq, where the two sides discussed the "crisis
    demonstrations and demands advocated by the protesters and the
    importance of response in accordance with the Constitution and the law."

    Mutlaq
    confirmed "the importance of the implementation of the demands of the
    demonstrators as popular demands related to the concerns of the people
    and their problems," Kubler expressed "hope that Iraqi parties will
    reach agreements and understandings lead to a final resolution of
    outstanding problems."

    The two sides discussed the
    ongoing political talks between the parliamentary blocs to establish
    clear mechanisms for resolving crises and difficulties that hinder the
    progress of the political process in Iraq.

    In another
    context, called al-Mutlaq during a meeting with the Japanese ambassador
    to the Republic of Iraq, Mr. Masatauta كاؤ Ka to "intensify efforts
    between the Iraqi and Japanese sides to cooperate in the fields of
    agriculture, industry, health and the environment and other service
    areas."


    The two sides discussed the political situation
    in the region and their impact on the Iraqi interior and the need to
    agree Iraqi parties to overcome the problems and unite to build a secure
    and unified homeland.

    For his part, Japanese ambassador
    to his country's keenness to develop relations with Iraq and expressed
    his confidence crossed all the crises and obstacles facing it, referring
    to the desire of Japanese companies in the development of economic
    activities in Iraq.
