Now that the bye week is finished and the Nashville Predators have split their back-to-back return to action, the team is ready for 4 straight at home. But before we get to the upcoming home stand…

Let’s get to the good, the bad and the ugly from last night’s 4-3 win at Columbus…

The Good - Resilience is rapidly becoming a towering strength of this team. After giving up a two goal lead … the team just kept working. The other goods… Kevin Fiala was all over the ice and his patient move on a turnover gave the Preds one of their two goal leads. The other good… Juuse Saros… the future in net for these Preds is certainly assured.

The Bad - You hate to give up a two goal lead on the road… in Columbus…

The Ugly - The penalties… too many of ‘em… and a potential injury to Ryan Ellis, keep your fingers crossed.

Honestly, the Predators played very well over the weekend… with four consecutive at home, a real opportunity to make a move in the Central… Calgary is in town tomorrow, game time is 7pm.

    Random Notes

    - Where We Stand – After yesterday’s play, the Nashville Predators have 64 points in 58 games played and are 4th in the Central Division. Nashville trails 3rd place St. Louis by a three points with a game in hand. Nashville has the first wild card slot, Tuesday night’s opponent, Calgary has the second. Per sportsclubstats.com, the Predators playoff chances are at 83.4%...

    - Calle Jarnkrok with another solid game

    - The Jackets did a decent job of shutting down Nashville’s top line last night, but Filip Forsberg managed to set up the game winner to Mattias Ekholm.

    - Interesting decision on Columbus’ part to not recognize Ryan Johansen last night… after over 300 games and they couldn’t spare a message on the scoreboard?

    - Two games in the NHL tonight, all times CST – 7pm – FLA @ STL. 8pm – ANA @ ARI.
