Berube!! I got there eventually. This team NEEDS quality backup goaltending. Greiss cannot play every night and this is going to catch up with the Islanders sooner rather than later.
Whatever Garth Snow’s issue is with Jaro Halak, it needs to be resolved sooner rather than later. Halak needs to be the backup goalie for the remainder of the season. I don’t care if he is bad in the locker room. They don’t need to roast s’mores around a camp fire and sing Freebird, they need to win hockey games and make the damn playoffs. It’s time to get serious and if they are serious about assembling their best lineup then Halak needs to be with this team.
Speaking of putting their best lineup on the ice; Ryan Pulock. Pulock now has 31 points in 36 games with the Sound Tigers as he continues to dominate every aspect of the AHL. I like Adam Pelech and I think he has a bright future with the Isles but send him down and recall Pulock. Scotty Mayfield does not need to play every night. Hickey has struggled. This teams blue line and its POWERPLAY needs a boost. I just don’t understand why Pulock isn’t playing bottom pairing minutes when he has the ability to provide such a spark to the lineup.
