Iraq pursues "open" dialogue with neighboring countries

Political Since 2017-04-02 at 16:55 (Baghdad time)

    Special - Mawazine News
Three years on the head of Haider Abadi, the country's administration, enough to go to the Prime Minister of the "ship of Iraq" towards "open dialogue" with neighboring countries, which he considered "key" to fill many doors, came as "poison" for the country.
Abadi held several meetings, most notably during his visit to the United States to meet with President Trump and two days later to participate in the Arab summit in Amman, where he met with leaders of countries led by Donald Trump, Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Abdullah, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and other leaders.
MP of the Kurdistan Islamic Union, Jamal Kogar, stressed that "Abadi is going the right path," adding that "openness to neighboring countries and strengthening relations with regional countries, is the key to fill many doors from which toxins entered the Iraqi state."
"The government should be in an open dialogue with those countries, to reach the participants," said Kojar, explaining that "Iraq with neighboring countries several common points, including points of disagreement, but certainly solvable."
He added that "the only way to resolve these points is not the boycott, but the adoption of the approach of dialogue," stressing that "we seek by the Prime Minister and ask him to continue to open channels of dialogue with all neighboring countries to overcome differences between the parties."
It is worth mentioning that Prime Minister Haider Abadi stressed on Friday that the belief of the Iraqis that Saudi Arabia is supporting terrorism is wrong, pointing out that there is an impression that Saudi Arabia is following Iran, which is also wrong.
