Denominational Battle Lines Empty Denominational Battle Lines

    Post by csd9013 Wed 19 Apr 2017, 7:55 am

I am going to go out on a limb and share my 2 cents.

Today’s subject is denominational battle lines.

Is it about winning the war or winning people to Jesus?

Often, we get so nitpicky about the rules and regulations of religion we miss the real thing. The grace, mercy, and love of Jesus. I believe on the day our life here is done, it will not matter what building we chose to be at on Sunday. It boils down to one question. Are we sold out to Jesus?

If the body of Christ fights and fusses, how can we ever show people how amazing Jesus is? I was once told by a passenger on a plane, “I watched Christians for a long time to see if I wanted to be one.”

I am not saying don’t go to church. I am saying go to a faith-filled church full of followers where you feel a sense of family not friction.

When Jesus says, "Well done my good and faithful servant." He ends with the word “servant” not a particular denominational name.

We can finish strong or finish wrong. The choice is up to us.

Acts 20:24 ".......my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace."
