Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi on Monday chaired a meeting of the ministerial energy committee in the presence of a number of advisers and general managers in the competent ministries.
A statement by the Office of the Prime Minister, received a copy of the "Mawazine News" that "Abadi chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Energy Committee in the presence of a number of advisers and directors-general in the ministries of electricity, oil and finance."
The statement added that "during the meeting, a number of decisions and measures that contribute to increasing the processing of citizens by electricity, in addition to continuing the transfer of service contracts and collection of energy sector through the installation of smart meters to equip citizens with electricity for 24 hours."
The statement pointed out that "the meeting touched on the stages of maintenance plans for production plants and the processing of the Ministry of Oil for fuel stations in addition to a number of topics on the agenda."
