Abadi heads a ministerial energy committee meeting

Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abadi on Monday chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Energy Committee.
The committee discussed, according to a statement received by Al-Sabah, a copy of the contracts of service and collection for the distribution sector and what has been achieved, and continue to refer the rest of the areas to provide continuous electricity to citizens.
In addition to the approval of the request of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals to change the assignment of the contract of processing fixed and mobile secondary stations to the Ministry of Electricity from the General Company for Electrical and Electronic Industries to the General Zora Company of the Ministry.
The committee also discussed "the proposal for exploration and development of patches and fields provided by the Ministry of Oil, in addition to the industrial water treatment unit."
Guidance was also given regarding the use of gas as fuel for transport vehicles, as well as the recommendations of a workshop to study the conversion of fuel from black oil to gas.
