Saudi Arabia: sanctions on facilities that occupy "Al-Jazeera"
BAGHDAD (Reuters) -
General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage in Saudi Arabia called for tourist accommodation facilities in the Kingdom by deleting all the satellite channels of the network "Al-Jazeera", and threatened to punish violators.
Issued the Commission a circular to the owners and operators of tourist facilities, asked them a "commitment by choosing the appropriate TV channels with the official Saudi channels, and not to receive inside the room or housing unit furnished devices setting and be receivers centralized tracking facility management, and not to run offending channels of the religion of Islamic or state policy or channels against decency. "
Confirmed the Commission "on the need to delete all the satellite channels of the network," Al Jazeera channels "and from the list of channels inside the rooms and all tourist accommodation facilities, in order to avoid the occurrence of the violation of this circular under penalty of sanctions up to a fine of 100 thousand Saudi Riyals or cancel the license or their together".
