Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi confirmed today, Wednesday, his rejection of the insults of some to the Popular Mobilization Forces.
Al-Mandalawi said in a statement received by Mawazine News: "Today, we completed the first reading of the draft law on service and retirement for the Mujahideen of the Popular Mobilization Forces, and we directed the relevant committees to expedite its maturity due to its importance in doing justice to our sacrificing heroes."
He continued: "We will do everything in our power as the Presidency of the House of Representatives to complete the steps to legislate this important law in loyalty to our martyrs and wounded, the heroes of the battle to defeat terrorism."
Al-Mandalawi stressed: "While we renew our pledge to support legislation that does justice to our people, and even consider it one of our most sacred duties as their representatives, we strongly reject the insults issued by some against those who offered thousands of martyrs as a sacrifice for the soil of Iraq."
Al-Mandlawi stressed that "the projects targeting the Mujahideen and denying their role and its harmony with what is issued by the forces of terrorism and darkness increase our belief as a legislative authority in the necessity of proceeding with the implementation of this law in the service of our people and our country."
