    Economy News - Baghdad
Today, Thursday, the head of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, agreed with the Minister of Health, Saleh Al-Hasnawi, to hold joint workshops and seminars in order to enhance integrity and the sanctity of public money within the health institution, and to raise awareness of the dangers of corruption.
The Integrity Commission stated in a statement received by "Al-Eqtisad News" that "Judge Haider Hanoun received the Minister of Health, Saleh Mahdi Al-Hasnawi, and during the meeting, emphasis was placed on intensifying cooperation between the Commission and the Ministry on the basis of "cooperation without borders" to ensure the integrity of the health sector."
Hanoun pointed out that "the Commission does not interfere in the work of ministries and institutions during their investigations into suspicions of corruption," stressing that "the Commission's investigators must carry out investigative procedures without negatively affecting the work of the ministries, their specializations, and the powers of technicians and those concerned in them."
He pointed out that "the Authority's investigations into the reports do not disrupt the implementation of projects and the progress of work in those institutions."
For his part, the Minister of Health said: “The Prime Minister’s insistence on bringing in advanced medical technology to treat incurable diseases and operating them with specialized international medical cadres was aimed at serving the Iraqi citizen.”
He expressed his "hope to intensify cooperation and strengthen ties between the ministry and the authority and raise them to the highest levels," stressing that "the doors of his ministry are open to the authority's procedures."
The two parties agreed to "hold joint workshops and seminars in order to enhance integrity and the sanctity of public money within the health institution, and raise awareness of the dangers of corruption," stressing "expediting the resolution of the administrative investigation and sending the legal representative during the pleadings; in order to accelerate the pace of resolution and complete the cases as quickly as possible."
