Inclusion of social protection beneficiaries in internal contracts

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has completed the audit procedures for social protection beneficiaries between the ages of 18 and 25 who are included in the transfer of their allocations to the Ministry of Interior.
The Minister of Labor, Ahmed Al-Asadi, said yesterday, Wednesday: “The beneficiaries will receive text messages on their mobile phones regarding the addresses of the training centers in which the examination and appointment procedures will be completed.” He added that “the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs had previously sent the data of more than 37 thousand beneficiaries between the ages of 18 and 25 to the Ministry of Interior in order to contract with them for a period of 3 years, after which they will be confirmed on the permanent staff.”
He stressed that "this experiment was successful for us and it is the first, and it can be generalized to the rest of the ministries to obtain job opportunities for the beneficiaries of the authority." In turn, the head of the Labor and Social Affairs Committee in the Baghdad Provincial Council, Dr. Yusra Al-Masoudi, told Al-Sabah: "The Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs and Interior agreed to include people who have obtained (K-Card) within the Social Protection Network Program in recent decades," stressing that "those included are limited to ages 18-22 years." She added, "A contract will be organized for these people for three years in the Ministry of Interior, in return they will be removed from the program," describing this procedure as good for this category to encourage them to work within government departments and remove them from the social protection program, which will open the way for other numbers to be included in this program. Al-Masoudi continued, "There are many programs that the committee will implement during the next stage to improve the reality of those included in the programs of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, including including those with chronic diseases in the social protection program, taking into account the possibility of facilitating procedures for this category to obtain salaries without any suffering that helps them in buying their medications or visiting doctors."
On the other hand, a member of the Baghdad Provincial Council warned that there are intensive efforts to control the work of private generators in the capital, pointing out that "a lot of money has been recovered to subscribers after members and joint committees saw that there are subscriptions that may reach 16-20 thousand dinars in some areas, after the council set in its meetings the price of one ampere supplied to citizens from those generators at 12 thousand dinars."
In this regard, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, said in a statement that "386,265 individuals who benefit from social protection have been included in health insurance," noting that "social research has been launched to visit about 133,765 individuals for the purpose of completing the procedures for their inclusion in free health insurance."
