Alia Nassif, a member of the Integrity Committee, described the political process in Iraq as in need of Muqtada al-Sadr, noting that the leader of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, is the leader of the political process, and that the relationship with him is good despite her withdrawal from the coalition.
Nassif said in an interview followed by Mawazine News, "Her withdrawal from the State of Law Coalition was because she was independent and the coalition was no longer suitable for her, and she explained to Al-Maliki the reasons for her withdrawal."
She added, "The religious authorities gave the head of the Shiite endowment a kind of immunity and sanctity because of his closeness and ingratiation with them."
Nassif indicated that she "supports Al-Sudani's government because it came after a difficult labor, in addition to the people's satisfaction with it," and she stressed that "she is satisfied with the government and it must be defended."
