The Prime Minister directs the rapid completion of Baghdad entrance projects

Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani directed to resolve all conflicts related to the implementation of Baghdad entrance projects, while stressing the work of weighing stations and the importance of full compliance with the laws.
This came during his chairing of a special meeting yesterday, Wednesday, to follow up on the completion of the rehabilitation projects of the entrances to the city of Baghdad, in the presence of the Minister of Construction and Housing, the Mayor of Baghdad, the Governor of Baghdad, a number of officials, and representatives of the implementing companies.
A statement from his media office stated that "the Prime Minister was briefed on the work and procedures taking place in each project, and listened to a briefing on the progress of work, as well as the position of the implementing companies and conflicts, in order to determine the reasons for any delay in the implementation schedule."
Al-Sudani directed "withdrawing work from any company that is late in implementation, especially since the government has provided everything required from its side. He also directed the removal of obstacles that obstruct road paths and implementation sites for entrance projects, as well as the resolution of checkpoints that have not yet been resolved."
He stressed the "operation of weighing stations, the importance of full compliance with the laws, and not being lenient in the specifications, and that the concerned authorities, whether in the traffic directorates or the scales administration, take all their measures to control the weights of trucks and punish and prevent violators."
He pointed out "the importance of integration between the implemented projects and the concerned parties in the Ministry of Housing and Construction, the Baghdad Municipality, and the Baghdad Governorate, and the necessity of integrating the entrance projects with the Fourth Ring Road project surrounding the city of Baghdad."
On the other hand, the Prime Minister issued directives to raise the wages of sanitation workers.
A letter issued by his office to the Baghdad Secretariat stated that "the Prime Minister directed to show the necessary attention and care for sanitation workers, as follows: When announcing official holidays due to high temperatures in Baghdad and the governorates, a cash bonus will be paid to sanitation workers who are on the permanent staff, and the wages of sanitation workers working (on daily wages) will be doubled for the holiday for the aforementioned reason." Al-Sudani also directed, according to a document sent from his office to the Ministries of Defense and Interior, Counter-Terrorism, Intelligence and National Security Services, and the Popular Mobilization Authority, "to treat trainees in colleges, educational institutions, and various courses well, and to monitor cases of exaggeration in the treatment of officers and non-commissioned officers with trainees, and not to reach the point of disrespecting their dignity and going too far with physical abuse that sometimes leads to physical harm, withdrawal from the course, and abandonment of its functional outcomes."
The office added that the Prime Minister directed the commanders, leaders and deans of colleges to monitor this and hold accountable those who are negligent, as the human self is the highest in the Iraqi character in which we aspire to lead the future.
