DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Syrian activists said on Thursday that the Syrian Democratic Forces coalition had made significant strategic progress south of the city of Raqqa, allowing it to complete the ring around a "terrorist capital" in Syria.
Activists explained that the fighters involved in the "Euphrates" campaign made significant progress in the vicinity of the town of Qusra al-Faraj towards the southern banks opposite Mashlab district and extended their control over all the villages opposite the city of Al-Rigga.
For its part, the campaign leadership confirmed that its forces liberated the village of Kasra Afan, located 6 km south of the city, and resulted in clashes between the two parties to eliminate 4 terrorists.
Activists insist that despite the advance of the "Syrian Democratic Forces", the Da'ash organization has not withdrawn its fighters from Rakka, and no agreement has been reached on the issue because of terrorists' fears that Russia will threaten to target terrorist targets to the governorates of Deir al-Zour and Homs.
