Teheran/ Iraq TradeLink: Secretary General of the Iranian National Security Council Ali Shamkhani
attributed the main reason for the presence of the Iranian military advisors in Iraq and Syria for "these countries are the rings of resistance to defend Palestine".
He added that this idea coincides with the Iranian thoughts to "treat the pain in body of the world", refereeing to Palestine.
He called for more efforts to counter secular and Takfiri thoughts, giving an example of Iraq and Syria where the Sunni sect are contributing in defending their countries.
