Kurdish deputy for the "direction": the Presidency of the Parliament dominated the powers of the deputies

    25/07/2017

MP from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Nawzad Rasool, today, objected to the progress of work in the House of Representatives because the Presidency dominates its powers to the deputies.
"The agenda of the House of Representatives is the authority of the Presidency," he said in an interview with Al-Tijah. He called for "listening to the ideas and opinions of the deputies on how to define the necessary issues on the agenda."
He explained that "the main imbalance in the work of the House of Representatives is the pressure of blocs and political parties in Iraq, which adversely affect the functioning of the Council."
He pointed out that "citizens elect deputies without the expense of political parties, but when the MP enters the parliament begins to think blocs and partisan interests and these impede the realization of the aspirations and interests of the Iraqi people."
