Newspaper: Sadr wants to involve the reference Sistani settlement of the issue of popular mobilization
A Saudi newspaper on Saturday revealed efforts by Sadr's leader Moqtada al-Sadr to involve religious authority Sayyed Ali al-Sistani in resolving the issue of popular mobilization, noting that he tried to push some leaders of the crowd to question the reference to express his opinion on the subject but did not respond.
The newspaper "Al-Hayat" in the context of a report, "The various Iraqi political forces gathered that the future of popular mobilization will be the focus of ongoing debate during the next phase," pointing to the leak of information and scenarios dangerous, ranging between the dissolution of these forces and demobilization in cooperation with the reference to Ali Sistani, And the removal of some factions and appendage to the army. "
She added that "Moqtada al-Sadr called for the integration of factions of the armed forces, which paves the way for the solution of the body led by Abu Mahdi Engineer and Hadi al-Amiri and Qais al-Khazali, and the presidency of Fayyad formality."
The newspaper quoted sources close to al-Sadr as saying that he wanted to involve Sistani, who is the author of the fatwa of Islamic Jihad, in settling the issue of popular mobilization. He tried to push some of his leaders to question the reference.
On August 4, 2017, al-Sadr proposed the integration of "disciplined elements" from the popular crowd into the official armed forces, or under the strict control of the state, and called for the disarming of the factions as a "paternal image."
