Public passports seek to open other directorates in all governorates of Iraq

    03/09/2017

The director of public passports Ahmed Abdul Sattar said on Sunday that his directorate is seeking to expand its offices throughout the country so that citizens can get the passport as soon as possible, indicating that the new system for issuing the passport is classified among the systems used globally.

Abdul Sattar said in a press statement that "the Directorate General is keen to open other directorates in all Iraqi provinces to end the momentum and so that all citizens can obtain the new passport within a record time simple"

He added that "the security conditions experienced by Iraq prompted some countries and organizations to launch unjustified statements to reduce the Iraqi passport spread throughout the world."

He pointed out that "the new system is very different from the previous system because it is of great importance in issuing the passport in a record time as it is classified within the systems used globally," noting that "a citizen wishing to obtain a passport can review the passports within the geographical area at any time." sf
