The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in Iraq announced today, Sunday, new plans for the current year that include leaving the concept of social care.
The ministry’s spokesman, Najm Al-Aqabi, explained that “the ministry’s plans for this year will move towards leaving the concept of social care,” noting that “the 2024 budget was devoid of any financial allocations for this purpose, and it is possible to include the new beneficiaries in the 2025 budget.”
Al-Aqabi added that “there is no increase in the ceiling of social assistance at present, until sufficient financial allocations are available.”
