The Council of Ministers transmits the Social Insurance Law to the House of Representatives

    06/09/2017

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Wednesday the transfer of the social insurance law to the House of Representatives after a vote in the Council of Ministers recently .

"The Council of Ministers approved in a previous session the Social Insurance Law and referred it to the House of Representatives, " said spokesman Saad al-Hadithi in a press statement.

Al-Hadithi added that "the law will take its way in legislation ."

It is noteworthy that the Social Insurance Law, which was voted by the Council of Ministers earlier triggered a wave of criticism among MPs, because of what they considered depriving the martyrs' families of their rights and privileges .
