    [rtl]South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-hwa called on Washington and Seoul to refrain from exchanging provocations.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The minister stressed in a press statement Tuesday that it is necessary to reduce the escalation in the light of North Korea's statements on the declaration of war.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The minister said North Korea is likely to continue its provocations under these circumstances. We, South Korea and the United States, have to master the situation together skillfully and resolutely to prevent further escalation of tensions or any supposed military action in the region that can emerge quickly.
