    [rtl]Authorities in the Libyan city of Benghazi reopened the commercial seaport of the city, the largest port in the east of the country, after three years of fighting .[/rtl]
    [rtl]The port witnessed armed battles that took place inside and around it ended three months ago .[/rtl]
    [rtl]According to government and security officials who took part in the huge opening ceremony on Monday, including the head of the interim government of the House of Representatives in the eastern city of Tobruk, Abdullah al-Thani .[/rtl]
    [rtl]The port was suspended in October 2014 following the capture of Ansar al-Sharia terrorists and other armed groups .[/rtl]
    [rtl]While surrounded by the forces of the House of Representatives, led by General Khalifa Hafter, which announced in July the control of the region and the entire city .[/rtl]
    [rtl]The port, which is the largest commercial port in eastern Libya, received today, according to the Anatolian correspondent, the first naval vessel since it stopped working, the sea vessel named "Lady Halom", carrying a government delegation headed by Abdullah al-Thani, Medicines and food to the city's war-weary population in the three years .[/rtl]
