[rtl]A member of the parliamentary services committee, Sabah al-Tamimi, has collected 51 signatures from members of the House of Representatives to "legislate the law protecting the air controller because of the danger he faces while performing the work."[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Tamimi said in a press statement that "the salaries of air controllers have been improved and they have land plots and legislation of their own law, stressing the need to preserve this national wealth."[/rtl]
[rtl]A member of the parliamentary services committee said that "the profession of the air observer is classified as the third most difficult profession in the world," explaining that "the process of obtaining a qualified air observer has a work permit starting from the complex selection mechanism and then academic training and ends with practical training until the qualification exceeds three years "He said.[/rtl]
[rtl]She added that "the need is still to maintain this national wealth and take all measures to improve the technical and living reality of this oppressed segment."[/rtl]
[rtl]It also called for "improving the salaries of air traffic controllers through the enactment of a law of their own that guarantees their entitlements similar to air observers in the neighboring countries developed in the field of civil aviation," calling for "improving the living conditions of air traffic controllers through their ownership of plots of land."[/rtl]
[rtl]It also called for "legislation to protect the air controller against the danger it faces while performing work".[/rtl]
[rtl]"We also call for the establishment of a state-owned Iraqi national air navigation company as recommended by ICAO in document 9082 where it provides air navigation services in Iraqi airspace," Tamimi concluded.[/rtl]
