Parliament's decision reveals a preliminary agreement to pass the law of parliamentary elections

Revealed the decision of the House of Representatives MP Imad Jokna, on Monday, the existence of preliminary understandings to pass the law of parliamentary elections during the coming sessions, while some items of the law of local elections are subject to change also.
"The political blocs agreed in principle to pass the law of parliamentary elections after the merger of some of the amendments with the draft law sent by the government to vote during the coming sessions," Yokhna said in a statement.
He added that "passing the law of parliamentary elections is very important and in the event of completion will be a broader preparation for the elections next year without any problems."
"The political blocs intend to re-vote and amend some provisions of the law of local elections, most notably the electoral distribution of seats to set a different date for the elections of security forces as well as a formula of understanding on the Kirkuk elections." End 25 d
