    [ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, discussed with the Brett McGurk, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, the political and security situations in Iraq and the region. [/ltr]

    [ltr]A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Nijaifi received McGurk at his office where they discussed the political and security situations in Iraq and the region in addition to the possibility of endorsing the Elections law to hold the next elections.” [/ltr]
