confirmed Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al - Jubeir , Saturday that Riyadh fixed position of Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine , while noting that it was out of the Amman meeting the results of the mission to address the decision of Trump on Jerusalem.
Jubeir said press statements at the end of the meeting of the Ministerial Committee of the Arab mini responsible for monitoring the US decision on Jerusalem, according to "Sky News Arabia", the "Riyadh fixed position of Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine."
"We came out of Amman meeting with important results to address the Trump decision on Jerusalem," al-Jubair said.
The Arab Ministerial Committee comprises the foreign ministers of Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Morocco.
Trump announced in early December Washington's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordered the transfer of the US Embassy to it, which sparked Arab and Islamic anger and aroused even the wrath of Washington's Western allies.
The Arabs submitted a draft resolution condemning Trump's move in the UN Security Council, but it was vetoed. Later in December, the UN General Assembly voted in favor of a resolution overwhelmingly rejecting the US resolution.
