[ltr][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]BAGHDAD, Jan 17 (KUNA) - The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdul Razzaq al-Issaie, discussed the implementation of the Bologna Process in Iraqi universities at the meeting of the ministerial committee.
The participants discussed in a statement issued by higher education, "the requirements for the application of this system in the Iraqi universities in order to upgrade the higher education system in Iraq and keep abreast of the latest scientific developments in the world." He pointed out "the members of the ministerial committee agreed to hold a specialized workshop in this system To prepare the scientific, technical and administrative requirements for the application of this system in selected models of an Iraqi university. "
It is noteworthy that the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research had discussed earlier with officials of development, education and science in Armenia, Iraq's accession to the Bologna Process system, and the activation of twinning programs between Iraqi universities and their Armenian counterparts.
Al-Issa said, "Iraq is seeking to strengthen its scientific and academic relations with the developed countries in the fields of scientific research and the Ministry of Higher Education is keen to enhance the horizons of scientific cooperation with the Republic of Armenia and its universities through the conclusion of bilateral memorandums of understanding between the two countries, Especially in the rare specialties, "adding that" Having studied the Armenian experience in the Bologna Process system, the ministry has the possibility to send and train Iraqi professors on this system in order to prepare the requirements and elements of Iraq's accession and educational institutions to him, It will send Iraqi students to some of the Armenian universities to develop levels of study and some rare medical specialties and open the field to utilize them in Iraq.
