The Supreme Judicial Council announced the completion of its final accounts last year, pointing out that the completion rates amounted to more than 95% despite the policy of austerity and lack of liquidity.

"The Supreme Judicial Council has completed its final accounts, which represent the actual revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year ended 2017," the Supreme Judicial Council spokesman Abdul Sattar Birqdar said in a statement.

"The judiciary is publishing these accounts on its website, which is the only institution that resorts to this procedure because it falls within the framework of transparency as an approach adopted by the Supreme Judicial Council since its restructuring in 2003," he added.

For its part, the Director General of the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs said that "the final accounts ended during the month of January and ahead of schedule set by the Ministry of Finance."

She explained that "these accounts were sent to the Office of Financial Supervision," noting that "despite the lack of cash liquidity funded by the Ministry of Finance, the completion rates amounted to 95% without any overrun on allocations budget of the Supreme Judicial Council."
