BAGHDAD / The Foreign Relations Committee on Thursday accused the House of Representatives of failing to hold accountable the government agencies entrusted with the recovery of Iraq's smuggled funds after 2003.
"The House of Representatives and all the intelligence service and the Bureau of Financial Supervision and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Integrity Commission to follow up the file of smuggling of Iraqi funds after 2003 and work to recover."
He added that "the House of Representatives bears a great lack of accountability of those government agencies entrusted with the recovery of Iraq's money smuggled, pointing out that the file of the recovery of Iraq's money is a shame not to try to return to the treasury of the state."
He explained that "the parliamentary foreign relations committee hosted several times representatives of the General Intelligence Service and the Bureau of Financial Supervision and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Integrity Commission, but they did not provide the Committee with important information or disclosure mechanisms and procedures for money recovery." Finished
