    [ltr]Iran's Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Mohammad Baqerzadeh, accused the United States of transferring humanitarian information related to the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war to the Pentagon.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Baqerzadeh called on the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Peter Mayofer, to "return this information to be able to know the fate of this group of martyrs who were killed by the Saddam regime in the camps of families in a hidden and buried in unknown places."[/ltr]
    [ltr]He called for strengthening the activities of the International Red Cross to search for the missing in the war, pointing to the importance of the role of the ICRC in the treatment of psychological and social problems resulting from the war.[/ltr]
    [ltr]He referred to the experience gained by the tracing committee over the past years, and expressed his readiness to provide these experiences in order to benefit from them in different countries of the world.[/ltr]
    [ltr]For his part, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Peter Mayofer expressed his "appreciation for the activities of the Commission for tracing the missing," calling for "to provide support and assistance to the Red Cross in this area," according to "Irna."[/ltr]
    [ltr]Peter Mayover expressed "the Committee's readiness to strengthen cooperation with Iran in view of the proliferation of regional conflicts and the increase in the number of missing persons in recent wars".[/ltr]
