     Follow-up / Sky Press:

US President Donald Trump has called for the withdrawal of his country's troops from Syria ahead of the congressional elections scheduled for November, US media reported.

According to a report published by the Associated Press, quoting high-level sources in the White House, declined to disclose their identity.

Officials said Trump had not yet issued a formal order on troop withdrawals and had not given a timetable for the pullout, but said the president had asked for a troop withdrawal before the congressional elections.

Trump said earlier that his country's troops would "leave Syria very soon and leave the other parties concerned. We would leave Syria after we defeated 100%. We beat them at a rapid pace. "

The Pentagon reported last December that there were 2,000 US troops in Syria.

The United States is leading an international coalition of more than 60 countries, which have been carrying out air raids on "stronghold" strongholds in Iraq and Syria for nearly four years.

Washington also provides support to Kurdish militants under the pretext of fighting the latter to organize a "da'ash" in Syria.
