The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has completed more than 27,000 loan transactions under the income-generating micro-enterprise support program, while in March it received more than 500 million dinars from expatriate worker and home worker leave fees.
The Director General of the Department of Employment and Loans of the Ministry, Ammar Abdul Wahid said in a statement to the "morning" that the directorate has completed 27 thousand and 25 loan transactions since November of 2013 until the end of May of this year, noting that the number of transactions completed within The Small Business Support Fund program during the month of March last 620 transactions.
He added that the number of beneficiaries of industrial services loans completed for the period from 2015 until the end of March of this year, amounted to 292 beneficiaries, noting that the Ministry announced the introduction of loans electronically through its official website mid-February to mid-March and published the names Covered by loans under Payments 23 and 24 on its website.
Abdel Wahed said that the Directorate obtained 654 million dinars last March from the fees of vacations of migrant workers and housekeepers, explaining that the number of licenses granted within the public sector companies decision No. 80 amounted to 109 vacations, and the holidays granted within the private sector companies to 21 leave, while the number of vacations Homeowners 126 vacation.
He explained that the practice of foreigners to work in Iraq is in accordance with Resolution 18 of 1987, indicating that the work permit is an official document issued by the Ministry of Labor and the authority of the Minister, and therefore it is not permissible for the employer in the private sector and mixed and cooperative operation of any foreign, The conditions and procedures specified in the instructions, noting that the approvals also require the country's need for manpower in light of what is required by the national economy and the requirements of each province, as well as the support of the security services there is no security barrier from the work of foreign expatriate
